Wool

Not just for sweaters.

Wool

Caring for your wool garments and items doesn’t have to be complicated when you know the right steps. With Soak’s gentle no-rinse formula, your wool will stay soft, vibrant, and long-lasting, all while saving you time and effort.

Check and prep

Check the care label to see if your wool item is Dry Clean Only. If it is washable, make sure you start out by spot cleaning the wool item or garment and soaking it in cold water for at least an hour. This makes sure all of the fibers are saturated and prevents shrinkage later.

Hand-wash

Then, hand-wash the item in cold water and your favorite Soak scent. You can Soak and squish wool around all you want, but try to keep the fibers from rubbing against each other if at all possible.

Squeze and dry

After a few minutes, roll it up in a clean, dry towel to squeeze the water out and lay the item flat to dry. This will help it keep the right shape and size.

Press if needed

If the item needs to be ironed, use on Wool setting with steam. Use a press cloth or iron inside out, and press by raising iron up and down, not sliding it across as it will create shine.
