Beauty Tools

Keep your beauty items looking lovely.

Beauty Tools

Makeup tools, hair brushes and beauty bags go through a lot. Thank them for keeping you looking good by returning the favour. Give your tools a good Soak every once and a while to keep them clean and looking new.

Makeup brushes

Rinse makeup residue out of the brush. Gently rub a small amount of Soak into the bristles with your fingers, then rinse. (Don’t submerge brushes – this will loosen the glue on the handle.) Lay brushes on paper towel to dry overnight, with the bristles hanging out over the edge of your counter for better air flow. Wash regularly to improve brush performance and keep your skin clean and healthy.

Make up sponges

Rinse and gently squeeze out moisture. Using a small amount of Soak, wash and thoroughly rinse the sponge, then let it dry overnight on a paper towel.

Hair brushes and combs

Use Soak to clean the product, dust and natural oils that collect on your brush. Once every couple of weeks, pick out the hair out of the bristles using a comb or your fingers (or if there’s a lot of buildup, use small scissors to cut through it).

Fill your sink, or basin, with lukewarm water, add some Soak, and submerge your brush for several minutes. Then, using an old toothbrush, scrub the base of the brush between the bristles. Rinse with lukewarm water, then leave it to dry overnight on your counter, with the bristles down and hanging slightly over the edge for better air flow.

Make up bags

If your bag is made from washable fabric, turn it inside out and immerse it in cool water with a squirt of Soak for 15 minutes. If your bag can’t be hand washed, spot clean with a wash cloth saturated with diluted Soak. Air dry overnight.
